My Story
Yoga and meditation became a daily practise for me back in 2014 when I was struggling with my mental health. It has been with me ever since; always there waiting for me through the ups and downs of this journey of life. I started teaching back in 2020 and I’m deeply grateful to be able to share these practises that have supported and helped me on my journey.
“Yoga is the perfect opportunity to be curious about who you are”
— Jason Crandell, Yoga Teacher
MY JOURNEY
My yoga journey began in 1998 as a way to connect with my body after a long period of chronic ill health & multiple surgeries due to Crohns Disease. After so long feeling disconnected from my body I immediately fell in love with how it made me feel both physically and mentally.
I was on & off the mat until 2014 when I went to live in India for a few years. It was there that I completed my 200hr yoga teacher training to deepen my own practise and I followed this in 2019 with 100hr Pranayama & Meditation.
I returned to England in 2020 and began holding online mediation groups to support people through Covid and lock-downs. Soon after this I began to hold small yoga classes locally and through word of mouth my classes bloomed and blossomed into the offerings held today.
Through the natural changes in my body with menopause & a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis 2 years ago my yoga practises have become even more valuable, helping me feel fluid & flexible, grounded & strong. Every time I have spent time on my mat it has brought me closer home and my deepest wish is that it does the same for you.
"You're alive and breathing. That's a fine reason to celebrate."
