Restorative Sunday Sessions Monthly 3 - 5pm

Why Do We Need To Practice Rest?

In our fast paced over stimulated lives rest is often seen as a luxury, something that we do when we are asleep. However rest is so much more than sleeping & by practising restorative yoga we are able to access the many benefits that deep relaxation & stillness can offer.

With the use of props we are fully supported in longer held poses helping us move out of the ‘flight or flight’ mode and into our parasympathetic nervous system. This practise can help to lower stress, release long held tension, aid better sleep and invites a deep awareness of body and breath.

These longer sessions begin with gentle movement to help settle into our bodies, followed by breath work then slowly moving into our longer held restorative poses.
